Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation

Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) is a comprehensive network of support and leisure services designed to enhance the lives of Soldiers (Active, Reserve, and Guard), their families, civilian employees, military retirees, and other eligible participants. FMWR employees strive to deliver the highest-quality programs and services—from sports programs, to child care, to special events. Here on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Army FMWR supports all branches of military service. FMWR contributes to the military’s strength and readiness by offering services that reduce stress, build skills and self-confidence, and foster strong espirit-de-corps. FMWR on Aberdeen Proving Ground is a subset of the U.S. Army Family and MWR Command (FMWRC), the Army's headquarters for Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) programs.
